The 2022 Walt Disney World Military Price List has FINALLY been announced!! This post is dedicated just for 2022 Park Ticket discounts.

Just in case this is your first time hearing about Walt Disney World Military Discounted Tickets lets go over a few things.

Where can I buy Discounted Military tickets for Walt Disney World?

The best places to buy your Military tickets are going to be at Shades of Green Resort or your Installation’s MWR/ITT.

Know that not all MWR or ITT locations sell all the different ticket options, so be sure to check what types of tickets they sell and what tickets you qualify for. Buying your tickets locally at your base or post is very convenient and most likely a lot faster than buying them from Shades of Green Resort. However, keep in mind that your Military Promotional Tickets will need to be activated when you arrive at Walt Disney World. When buying them from MWR or ITT, you will most likely get a voucher. The voucher serves as your ticket and allows you to make all your park reservations but it will need to be activated by a Cast Member at a Guest Relations location before being able to enter any park. Not a huge deal, just something to be mindful of if you’re arriving late at night and planning on hitting the parks first thing in the morning the next day.

Also if you are Retired, Reserves, National Guard, Coast Guard etc.; and do not have a local MWR or ITT office you can visit, you can order them from almost any installation. I’ve heard of people ordering tickets from Lackland ITT or Patrick ITT. You are not restricted to buying tickets locally.

Purchasing your Military Discounted tickets from Shades of Green Resort is your other option. Why buy them from Shades of Green? Because their tickets come already activated so you can skip the trip to Guest Relations. Shades of Green has its own Attraction Ticket Office where you will submit your order requests. However, the wait time, processing, and shipment of the tickets can take a little longer than buying them on base. You will want to submit your request as early as you can.

Note that to enter any Disney park you must have Park Reservations. To make Park Reservations, you must have purchased your tickets first. Since Park Reservations are limited, it is important to purchase your tickets far in advance. You CAN buy a discounted ticket directly through Disney (in person) at any of the ticketing windows. But again since Park Reservations are limited, I do not recommend waiting until the day of to purchase your tickets.

Ticket Options

Military Salute

Also known as the Military Promotional Ticket, are deeply discounted Walt Disney World tickets for Active Duty Service Member, Retirees, National Guard, Reservists, and their spouses.

Each year the ticket prices for the following year are usually announced around October/November. You will only be able to purchase the Military Promotional Tickets once the prices have been announced. And remember if you purchase your Military Salute Tickets at MWR or ITT, these tickets WILL need to be activated. Military Salute Tickets purchased from Shades of Green do NOT need to be activated.

Tickets & ticket prices are only good for the year they are purchased for. But! Know that if you purchased tickets and then things changed and were unable to go that year, you can use the face value of those tickets for the following year. IE: If you purchased tickets in 2021 but moved your trip to 2022, you can use the price you’ve already paid towards the 2022 tickets and just pay the difference.

2022 Walt Disney World Military Salute

Beginning November 16th, 2021 – Tickets will be available for purchase. These tickets will be valid from January 1, 2022 through December 16,2022.

An important note: Every Military Member is limited to (6) Military Salute tickets per calendar year and (1) of them MUST BE for the service member/spouse. Regardless of who buys them or where, you only get a total (6) per household/Service Member. MIL to MIL families; its (6) tickets PER Service Member._{**There are instances when you can buy more than (6) tickets. If you have more than 6 people in your household, and the additional ticket(s) are for children enrolled in DEERS, an exception might be made.}

Magic Your Way Tickets

Magic Your Way are tickets that can be purchased by anyone who is eligible to stay at Shades of Green Resort. These are discounted tickets that any Military Veteran who Honorably Served can purchase. There is NO limit on the number of MYW tickets you can purchase. And unlike the Military Salute Tickets, anyone can use these tickets since a Military ID is not required for entry to use these tickets (and do NOT need to be activated). These tickets can be purchased for 1 to 10 Days of Park Entry.

MYW tickets expire 14 days after the first day of use and the first day of use must be before December 31, 2023.

Seasonal Blackout dates: December 17, 2022 – December 31, 2022. Tickets including Plus visits expire 14 days after the date of first use or on December 17, 2022

If you are wanting to buy these tickets from Shades of Green, these tickets can be only purchased in advance if you are staying at Shades of Green Resort. Or if you are eligible for the Military Promotional Tickets, and have exceeded your allotted (6) tickets or you are “gifting” them to someone. Otherwise, if you qualify to stay at Shades of Green in January or September and ARE NOT staying at Shades of Green, these tickets must be purchased IN person at Shades of Green only in the months of January or September.

Magic Your Way Tickets can also be purchased at some participating MWR or ITT offices.
 

Stars and Stripes Tickets

As of February 17, 2022 Starts & Stripes Tickets are NO LONGER AVAIALBE for purchase. If these ticket options become available, this post will be updated.

Just like the MYW tickets, Stars and Strips Tickets have no limit on the number of tickets you can purchase. Anyone can use these tickets, and just like MWR the S&S tickets can only be purchased in advance if you are actually staying at Shades of Green Resort, or an Active Duty or Retired member gifts them to you. These tickets will NOT need to be activated. The big difference between the S&S and MWR tickets is that the Stars & Stripes tickets can only be used for guests staying ON Property, either at Shades of Green or a Disney Resort hotel.

Linking Military tickets

Once you’ve purchased and received your discounted Military tickets or vouchers, you will need to link them to your My Disney Experience account.
