What is a Table Service restaurant?
A Table Service restaurant is just another name for a sit-down restaurant. Within the two parks, Downtown Disney District and Disney Resort Hotels, there are several different types of cuisines available. With roughly 25 Table Service options at the Disneyland Resort, these restaurants tend to be pretty busy.
These are dining locations that you will more than likely, have to make a dining reservation for or join the walk-up waitlist (if space is available). Reservations are limited and advance dining reservations are strongly encouraged. Advance Dining Reservations can be made for Table Service restaurants 60 days in advance starting at 6am EST.

How to find a Table Service location

Personally, for pre-planning, I find the easiest way to sort through the different dining options is on the Disneyland Dining webpage. This way I can easily open new tabs for each restaurant look at the menus and decide if that restaurant would be one I want to make a reservation for.
If you are in the parks and either need to locate a restaurant or are looking for a table service location that has an available walk-up wait list, using the Disneyland Mobile App is going to be your go-to.

While in the Disneyland Mobile App, you are going to change the drop-down at the top from “Attractions” to “Dining”. Once you’ve done that you’re going to want to filter the dining options. If you select “Reservations Accepted” that will you the Table Service restaurants.
You will also Table Service locations with the wait times listed. Those are the locations that accept walk-in guests. Keep in mind that the posted wait time may not be accurate; it might end up being less! I’ve put my name on a walk-up waitlist that had a posted wait time of 45 minutes and my table was ready in THREE minutes. Don’t expect that to always be the case because I’ve also been quoted 30 minutes for a walk-up waitlist for Oga’s Cantina at the Disneyland Resort and we waited exactly 30 minutes. And if you join a walk-up waitlist and decide to eat somewhere else, you can always cancel your place in line.
Advance Dining Reservations

Advance Dining Reservations are something you’re definitely going to want to do ahead of time. Again, Advance Dining Reservations can be made 60 days in advance beginning at 6am EST.
Now you might be thinking “do I really need to get up at 6am (or 3am PST) just to make dining reservations?” and the answer is: Yes and No. It really depends on where you’re trying to eat.
The only restaurant you really NEED to be up and ready to make a reservation for at 6am is the Blue Bayou Restaurant. Reservation windows for Blue Bayou Restaurant will be gone within the first hour or two the morning ADRs are available. The rest of the restaurants will have plenty of time slots available if you decide to sleep in.
It is important to make advance dining reservations if you plan to eat at any Table Service restaurants during your visit. As I said before, there is only 25 Table Service location in all of the Disneyland Resort, so trying to reserve something the day of can be somewhat difficult. If you don’t like pre-planning every little detail, that’s fine. A day or two before is still beneficial and there should be a handful of reservation windows still available.
How to make a dining reservation
Making dining reservations can be done one of two ways. You can either make your dining reservations can be made on the Disneyland Mobile App or online on the Disneyland Dining page.

If you are using a desktop computer and/or the Disneyland Dining page, you should first log into your My Disneyland account. Then go to the dining pages. Towards the top (circled in the yellow) you will select the date you are trying to make a reservation for, time, and party size. After you click “Search Times” you will see the available time slots that are available for what restaurant.

From the Disneyland Mobile App, you will tap the + at the bottom of the app. Then click “Check Dining Availability”. Then just like the desktop version, you will select the date, party size, and time. Then the available time slots will pop up. If you are looking for a specific restaurant or a time that isn’t available, sometimes if you toggle between the different times under “Search by Time”, a different time slot will appear that wasn’t there before.
One last dining tip! Make sure you arrive at the restaurant on time. You can check in on the Disneyland Mobile App. I like to check in as I’m walking towards the restaurant. When you check in, the app will confirm your reservation time and party size. You will then get a second notification when your table is ready.
But know if you miss your dining reservation you can be charged for missing it! Fees can vary between $10-$25 PER PERSON. However, Disney does understand that things happen if you’re late. Once we had transportation delays and were almost 25 minutes late. We spoke to the Cast Member at the hostess stand and they were still able to seat us.
But if you miss your reservation altogether, you will be charged that fee. Dining reservations can only be cancelled 24 hours in advance. If you want to cancel or know you aren’t going to make your dining reservation less than 24 hours before your reservation time, you can go to the app and modify that dining reservation and pick any other day in the future. Then, go to the new reservation and you’ll be able to cancel that new reservation because it’s more than 24 hours out.
Bon Appétit!
