Best Places To Eat at Walt Disney World Without Kids
Planning a Walt Disney World trip without kids? Maybe you’re traveling with extended family and you’re looking for someplace to eat with just you and your partner. Or perhaps your kids are older and you’re looking for something that isn’t geared for little, little kids. Well, I know just the place…or places!
As I’ve said before in the Walt Disney World Table Service Restaurants post, there are over 100 Table Service restaurants at Walt Disney World. With that many restaurants, you really can’t go wrong with any of them. These are Disney restaurants so very few are “just for Adults”, but below are some of my favorite more “grown-up” type restaurants.
Best Places in Magic Kingdom
This shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone but there aren’t a whole lot of Grown-Up restaurants in Magic Kingdom. There are several great Table Service options and delicious Quick Service options but pretty much all of them are very kid-oriented. My one and only suggestion for Magic Kingdom is Skipper Canteen.
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen
Skipper Canteen is a great spot in Magic Kingdom. It’s often overlooked by families traveling with little kids because the menu doesn’t come off very kid-friendly. The food here is SUPER good and definitely different from “The Disney Standard” (as I like to call it) – which is burgers, pizza, and chicken nuggets. It also has a couple specialty cocktails as well as beer and wine. The atmosphere is enjoyable and the Cast Members are fun and do their best Jungle Cruise-esque jokes.
Best Places in Epcot
Honestly, you can’t go wrong anywhere in Epcot. There are several great options. Depending on what type of cuisine you are looking for, some restaurants might work better for you than others.
Le Cellier Steakhouse
Le Cellier is easily one of my favorite places to eat in all of Walt Disney World. It is located in the Canada Pavilion in the World Showcase and the food there is phenomenal! Designed to look like a château-style hotel wine cellar, the restaurant is somewhat dim and has a cozy ambiance.

It could be a great spot for a date night or if you’re craving steak, this is the place to go. The filet mignon is quite possibly THE best filet I’ve ever eaten. I suggest going on an empty stomach or planning to share because you’re going to want to try everything! The Le Cellier Beef Bourguignon Poutine and Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup are a MUST TRY.
Teppan Edo
Another great option in Epcot is Teppan Edo, which is located in the Japan Pavilion in the World Showcase. This is a traditional Japanese Teppanyaki style (Americans call it Hibachi) restaurant..
While dining, you can enjoy the fun and skillful chefs cook on the iron plates (“teppan”) on the table in front of you and grill (“yaki”) your dinner. You have the option of all the favorites – chicken, steak, shrimp, as well as sushi offerings, Udon noodles, and rice.
You can also enjoy local Japanese adult beverages like Kirin draft beer, Plum wine, and Japanese Sake.
San Angel Inn Restaurante
A new favorite of mine in Epcot is San Angel Inn Restaurante. Located inside the Mexico Pavilion, is this amazing Mexican restaurant.
The atmosphere is so great that it’s easy to forget that you’re actually in a theme park and not really in Mexico. From the Queso Fundido, Ensalada César, Carne Asada and all the way to the delicious Baja Tacos de Pescado, there are so many appetizing options!
And then there are the margaritas! You can’t go to “Mexico” and not get a margarita. The ever-popular La Cava Avocado margarita, El Diablo spicy margarita, or the basic but amazing San Angel Inn Margarita, are all so fantastic options!
Best Places in Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The Hollywood Brown Derby
The iconic Brown Derby restaurant from Hollywood, CA has been replicated in Disney’s Hollywood Studios as The Hollywood Brown Derby. This is a great spot for lunch or dinner, where you can enjoy the classic Cobb salad which was created by the original owner of California’s Brown Derby, Bob Cobb. There you will also find other delicious food items as well as A Margarita flight, a Wine flight, and many other amazing cocktails.
Best Places in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Yak & Yeti™ Restaurant
A popular choice in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is Yak & Yeti Restaurant. The menu mostly consists Asian style dishes and they are big crowd pleasers! The portion sizes are also HUGE so if you’re traveling in a large group or you and your significant other can’t decide, know that you can totally share your entrées.
The theming of the restaurant is great and you can always find some interesting and beautiful Asian artifacts. There is also a variety of adult beverages including beer, wine, and some fun and creative cocktails, as well as mocktails including a ICEE that comes in a adorable souvenir cup!
Best Places Throughout Walt Disney World
Some other great places are going to be at the Disney Resorts, Disney Springs, or Disney’s Boardwalk. The Disney Resorts on the Monorail Loop are always great options and if you’re looking for a fun Adults Only night (or day), doing the Monorail Resort Crawl is a LOT of fun.

What is the Monorail Resort Crawl?
On the Magic Kingdom Monorail Loop, there are three Resorts: Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridan Resort & Spa. Each resort has multiple dining options that include Table Service restaurants and Lounges. Doing the Monorail Resort Crawl means you go to all three resorts in one day, and eat and/or drink at least one dining option.

Disney Springs
Disney Springs has over 60 different dining options. 23 of those are Table Service or Lounges. All great options for Adults. There are also Quick Service locations all over Disney Springs that have adult beverages. As long as you’re in Disney Springs, you can walk around with your adult beverage, so technically all of Disney Springs is a great stop for Adults without kids.
Disney Springs also has Live music, tons of shopping, an AMC Movie Theatre, and even a bowling alley. Splitsville Luxury Lanes is a super fun stop that not only has bowling but other table games and amazing sushi! I know you wouldn’t think of a bowling alley for sushi, but as someone who used to live in Japan and eats a ton of sushi, I can attest to how good the sushi is at Splitsville.
There are many, many other options. Not only at the Disney Resorts can you find some amazing Table Service and Lounges but Disney Springs also has a TON of great options. One thing I love to do on an Adults Only trip is to Resort Hop. You can go to ANY Disney Resort and dine at any restaurant. Definitely check out the Disney Dining page where you can sort through all the different dining options at Walt Disney World. You can filter your results to show restaurants by Resort, Theme Park, type of cuisine, and more. This way you can find a restaurant that fits your preferences.
